Joefel...A Great Leader

Image
* What Makes a Good Leader? * There are many schools of thought about what comprises good leadership, including theories that focus on leadership traits, behaviors, values, personality, and character, to name just a few. Given the multiplicity of views on leadership, it is helpful to look at models that consolidate meaningful data and research to come up with an integrated view on the attributes of a good leader. Defining Leadership One classic understanding of good leadership was derived by Kouzes and Posner in The Leadership Challenge, who use data from over 1.3 million people about the observable skills and behaviors of leadership. They found that despite differences in culture, gender, age, and other variables, good leaders effectively model the way, inspire a shared vision, challenge the process, enable others to act, and encourage the heart. It takes someone that has this kind of Leadership style to take Okpebho to the next level. Hon Felix Godsent Akhabue (AKA) Joefel, posse...

The announcement was made by the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, Naija News reports. A security source has now disclosed to OKNEWS! that Buhari was advised by security agencies not to go ahead with the subsidy removal as planned. ROCHAS OKOROCHA: The best man for the job...2023

It is a cliche to refer to youths as “future leaders of Nigeria”, ignoring the fact that they have a role to play now in the leadership of this country. ... ROCHAS OKOROCHA

Elections have consequences, and the implications of poor voter participation in a democracy are dire.

ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES, AND THE IMPLICATIONS OF POOR VOTER PARTICIPATION IN A DEMOCRACY ARE DIRE. By:  Hon Fidel Odiase If participatory democracy is indeed the best form of government, every citizen must be involved in this process, especially the youths. Your voter’s card is your power to ensure continuity of excellent government or removal of bad government at the local, state, and federal levels. Elections have consequences, and the implications of poor voter participation in a democracy are dire. These implications are in terms of the policies, ideologies, and focus of the government. And it is improbable that the policies of the government will reflect popular interests unless the majority participate. Let us go register for our voters, Card  ... A better Nigeria is possible

NIGERIA NEED FRESH GOOD BRAINS AND A BETTER POLITICAL PARTY TO CHANGE THE OLD LOOTERS

NIGERIA NEED FRESH GOOD BRAINS AND A BETTER POLITICAL PARTY TO  CHANGE THE OLD LOOTERS By: Hon Fidel Odiase yes if we must have the real change we all desire, we need to think out of the box to get a political party that is different from what we have now...there is no difference between PDP and APC and they are not ready to give us the dividend of democracy. They are still featuring the same people that have looted this nation for decades.  The human cost of bad governance Nigeria’s poor socio-economic performance, human rights abuses, widespread poverty, insecurity, corruption, and lack of trust in the political system have led to disenchantment amongst the electorate, especially the youth who make up 51% of the 84 million registered voters. This matters in a fast-growing population of over 200 million, with more than 60% of people under 25. There can be two possible effects from such disenchantment on voter turn-out in the 2023 elections; it can motivate high tu...

(END BAD GOVERNANCE TO END SARS FOREVER IN NIGERIA )    NIGERIAN YOUTHS NEED TO MOVE FROM THE STREETS TO THE POLL.   _by  Fidel Odiase _  Let us come together to end bad governance and move from the streets to the polls by getting politically involved so that we can collectively stop tyrannical, myopic, and incompetent failed politicians from taking over the mantle of leadership at all levels and ultimately bring to an end the very things that take us to the streets. More so that the electoral amended act bill currently before the National Assembly will help bring the needed transparency in our electoral system to ensure that our votes will count. It is indeed sad that one year after the #ENDSARS protests, Nigerian leaders are yet to learn a thing or two from the outcome of a nationwide agitation that took the political elites by surprise as the several days of protests sparked a consciousness among the Nigerian youths like never before witnesse...

THE GAME CALLED POLITICS!*

*THE  GAME CALLED POLITICS!*  By: Hon Fidel Odiase This is quite a game, politics. There are no permanent enemies, and no permanent friends, only permanent interests. Yes, we all have a selfish interest and my selfish interest and reason why I spent my time and hard-earned money to Always support good governance, is to make sure my Esan people enjoyed the dividend of democracy especially my hometown Ukpenu- Ekpoma.  Senator Clifford Odia has been trying his best but his best is not good enough because I remembered vividly when he was coming for his second term campaign, he told my people of (ward 7) that he is going to fix the Ukpenu - Emuhi road as soon as he resumes office.  He has spent 7 years in office and nothing has been done but now that his tenure remains just one year to end, he wants to embark on the road project...I don't want to believe what am thinking 🤔   *MY QUESTION IS:*  Can this project be completed before the end of his...

THE COST OF VOTER APATHY by Barr. Cyril Oriabure Oknews! If youth can focus on mass registration for voting by working closely with the grass root, it will be a game changer. Controlling the majority votes by participating in the electoral process will guarantee youth a stakeholder position in the political system. The older politicians will have no choice but to depend on them to have any relevance. To lack the ability to vote is to remain voiceless in the system. “Let's go register for our permanent voters card. ...A better Edo is possible”. Barr. Co-workers are not your friends. If they can get money by betraying you, they may do it" – Reno Omokri

Co-workers are not your friends. If they can get money by betraying you, they may do it” – Reno Omokri According to the lawyer and author, some people would gladly accept money to betray their colleagues so it’s better to focus squarely on work, instead of making friends.   He further stated that people should learn to leave work at work, and focus on spending time with their family and friends after work hours. Reno wrote, “Co-workers are not your friends. That doesn’t mean they are your enemies. They are just not your friends. They did not come to that office because they like you. They came because they like money. If they can get money by betraying you, they may do it. Focus on work. And, when you leave work, leave work at work. Don’t leave work and still live work. Go home to your family, or go out with your friends. Don’t check any work related email or take calls. You are not a slave. Your boss did not buy you. He only bought your working hours.”

HERE’S WHAT HAPPENS TO THE ECONOMY AND NAIRA JUST BEFORE AN ELECTION YEAR AUTHOR: Mayowa Tijani  JANUARY 12, 2022 8:06 AM  *Oknews*  It’s official, the campaign season is upon us full swing; Bola Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos state and self-acclaimed ‘kingmaker’ of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has thrown his hat into the ring for the 2023 presidential contest. Less than 24 hours after Tinubu, David Umahi, governor of Ebonyi state, also took the Aso Rock declaration stage to tell us he would be running for president. Many more of these would continue well into 2022, but that is not our focus today. Since the year began, I have been looking at the numbers and they tell a beautiful story. They speak of what happens before an election year, and we would be analysing those under three main themes today, starting with gross domestic product. The gross domestic product (GDP) of the country increases almost every year before an election — and this has ha...

Obasanjo: Unemployment Forcing Youths into Violent Groups, Kidnap Gangs January 8, 2022  oknews! Former President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday raised the alarm that many Nigerian youths “are enlisting in violent groups and kidnap gangs” owing to unemployment and the inability of government to manage the country’s population. Obasanjo, who was speaking at the Oyewusi Ibidapo-Obe symposium in Lagos, also expressed worry about the country’s growing population, especially the unemployed youths. He said political will and action were key to transforming the country’s population into an asset. Obasanjo further raised a number of critical questions concerning how to manage Nigeria’s rising population: “First cluster of questions are: How are we going to feed this growing population? How are we going to house them, educate them, provided we have security and other variants of security?” He said the second cluster of questions are: “How do we keep this large army of unemployed yo...
