MEET OSENI KADIRI, SELF- INVENTOR FROM EWU ESAN LAND EDO STATE.
Meet Oseni Kadiri, Self-Made Inventor From Ewu
Ewu 28th November 2020
Mr. Kadiri Oseni is a self made inventor, native Jagbe, born and bred in Ehanlen Ewu, his maternal origin. Oseni only attended Ewu Grammar School and without any further training in higher institution and without formal appretanship in any workshop, he built a tricycle car to aid his own movement and went on to develop it to a four wheel car.
At a point, he built a gulf car for an AAU Engineering graduate project work for a fee. He has many inventions to his credit including tricycle, cars, pick up vans currently being hired for haulage of agricultural products. He recently commenced the construction of an helicopter now at the skeletal stage.
Oseni has proved that there is indeed ability in disability. This prompted the Deputy Editor of Esan News Magazine and Director of Radio Esan Online, Comrade Kingsley Ohens to visit the self made inventor in Ehanlen today to see what can be done to improve on his inventions. Below are the details of the chat with the Edison of our time during an inspection of his facility. Excerpts:
ENM: We are from Esan News Magazine and Radio Esan online. We have heard so much about your creativity from Ewu people. Please tell us your name, education and place of origin.
Inventor Oseni: I am Kadiri Oseni, my father is from Ujiagbe and my mother from Ehanlen Ewu. I was born and brought up in Ewu and I am physically challenged (you can see I am a Cripple) but married to a beautiful woman and God has blessed us with children.
ENM: We learnt that you have created tricycle, a gulf car and other inventions, can you tell us about them.
Inventor Oseni: Yes, alot of inventions. I was never trained on metal construction. I did yam pounder mechine, cracking milling and oil extracting mechine, free energy machine (a mechine that don't use fuel or diesel).
ENM: What motivated you to engage in this creative activities?
Inventor Oseni: As you can see my condition, as a Cripple, I don't want to start begging for a living. I saw that in my disability there is ability, so I took the challenge. I was not trained but it was just gift from God. What I imagine, I construct it. You can see the tricycle, plane and other things on ground. I work for people also.
ENM: What do you want to achieve through this work?
Inventor Oseni: I want to be a great Inventor and train youths on it.
ENM: Have you been covered by the press (newspaper, radio or TV) before?
Inventor Oseni: hummmmmm, yes once about 6 to 7 years ago.
ENM: If a company is built for production of tricycle and other product of automobile, can you operate the factory?
Inventor Oseni: Yes, why not, different invention and metal work will be coming out from the factory all the time.
ENM: Have you ever received any help from government or private donors?
Inventor Oseni: No, No, I have not received any dime from Government or other donors.
ENM: What particular help do you want from government or Esan people who are interested in your work?
Inventor Oseni: I need Government and other Esan sons and daughters to build a good factory for me. I don't want my ideas to die like that. I want to train people and bring out great inventions. What our people are going to buy abroad we have it here only if we can harness them.
ENM: Does the youths of nowadays have interest in your work?
Inventor Oseni: yes but they are discouraged because of no enabling environment and good equipments.
ENM: We also heard that you are working on an helicopter, how true is this?
Inventor Oseni: Yes, you can see the skeletal work going on.
ENM: What challenges are you facing in this work and how can the government assist you?
Inventor Oseni: No good equipment to work, no good working environment, I am not financially balanced to buy materials. Government should open a factory for me and equip it to roll out out more products of creativity.
ENM: Give a word of advice to Esan Youths who are interested in this kind of work.
Inventor Oseni: Our youths should be creative and learn a trade. Yes Education is good but we all cannot get the white-collar job.
ENM: Thank you and God bless you.
