It all starts right here, welcome to the Royal Rumble kickoff show, my name is Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah, joining me today is Shawn Lee he’s a foreign analyst he’s from South Africa.

This edition is going to focus on the run-up to the 2023 Presidential elections and likely key wrestlers set to slug it out for the final bet.

The 2023 Royal Rumble has big wrestlers like Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kayode Fayemi, Musa Kwankwaso, Atiku Abubarkar, Nyesom Wike, and ex-President Goodluck Jonathan as participants.

The Angle (Story Line)

North Vs South.

Definitely, the first hurdle to cross is the North versus South dispute. Organizers of the event agreed to an earlier hosting right exclusively for wrestlers from the South only, it was a gentleman agreement that saw President Buhari emerging as the choice candidate for the APC in 2015, this arrangement however is exclusive to the APC.

The PDP on the other hand seems to have zoned their presidency to the North and is set to bring out a very popular Northern wrestler that can “Pop” the crowd In the North with little ease.

According to their calculations, this would be a formidable structure for a final “Blowoff” with APC.

So if all goes well the PDP would produce a formidable wrester from the North.

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Atiku Abubakar are two candidates already that have launched their participation in the Royal Rumble.

Then the APC is expected to feature a “Babyface” from the South. He has to be a person that the fans cheer for. Well accepted in the South.

Three heavyweights already in participation are Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, and surprisingly former President Goodluck Jonathan.

These three gladiators have their strengths and weaknesses.

Tinubu Vs Kayode Fayemi.

The rivalry between a Father (Tinubu) and his son (Fayemi) is set to be the opening match of the main portion of this year’s Royal Rumble.

Expectations are high and from the opening bell, it seems Tinubu would Break his Opponent,Fayemi.

Fayemi might box himself into a corner as the South-West is set to bring a formidable team in the expected blowoff with PDP.

Tinubu recently met with Amosun in a closed-door meeting which obviously indicates that Amosun might soon ditch the anti-Tinubu earlier stance of his.

The former Ogun Governor might retrace his steps, this is definitely a power advantage to Tinubu.

Tinubu’s GAS TANK is of excellent quality and Fayemi may “Got caught”.

Tinubu would draw the number one spot for the South-West and defeat Fayemi hands down.

Aswaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the Babyface of the South-West. He would make a “Clean finish”

President Goodluck Jonathan.

If Jonathan emerges as the APC candidate it would be a dirty finish, the Northern cabal is standing in for Jonathan for the simple selfish reason of taking back power to the North.

Jonathan can only serve a maximum of four years. The former president is highly pressured to come fly the APC ticket.

Jonathan is just” In-ring psychology” at the hands of the Northern cabal.

Jonathan is a “Tweener”: A wrestler who is viewed neither as a face nor a heel.

Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso Vs Atiku Abubarkar

This bout in the PDP is the most anticipated.

Kwankwanso is a movement in the North and may give Atiku a bitter run for his money.

Atiku who is known for his experience in Royal Rumble participation (presidential elections) for ages would meet stiff resistance in Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Atiku is seen as the “Heel”

If the North is looking for a wrestler that would cheer the crowd then Atiku may not stand Kwankwaso in this epic battle.

Shawn Lee feels this battle would be the most sold out as both wrestlers would slug it out to the last. According to his analysis, Atiku has deep pockets and with the latest deal at Intels, the dude surely has some loose change to spread around.

He thinks Kwankwanso would cheer the crowd but Atiku would defeat him.

He predicts a “Dirty finish” In favor of Atiku.

Nyesom Wike.

Nyesom Wike has enrolled in the Royal Rumble 2023 presidential edition already.

Shawn Lee thinks Wike is a Jobber in the whole game.

For me, I think Wike is positioning himself as a possible running mate to either of the two wrestlers mentioned above or Aminu Waziri Tambuwal the Sokoto State Governor.

But with Rivers State resources at his disposal, Wike might give the PDP a SMACKDOWN.

Wike would always struggle to find an audience during the Royal Rumble series.

But take note the Royal Rumble would be defined by the same old faces we have seen in the political environs all this while.
