14-year-old Lucky Piety, an Ekpoma born cricket player on Friday made history as the first female in West Africa cricket history to score a century (100 runs).

Scoring 100 points in a single cricket match is usually celebrated career moments for both professional and amateur in competitive cricket. Lucky Piety, made 106 runs off 54 balls as her  South–South Cricket Team defeated South-West by 126 runs. She is Edo state best girls’ wicket keeper.

Expectedly, she has won the admiration of Nigeria’s national Female Coach, Onome Oghenekev who has reportedly invited her to join the National Female Cricket Team. By her record-breaking feat, she has become West Africa's first female centurion!
