ESAN YOUTH LEADERS APPEALS TO   GOVERNOR* *GODWIN OBASEKI TO TAKE A PROACTIVE MEASURE IN* *TACKLING THE INSECURITY SITUATION IN THE STATE.*

The Esan Youth Leaders, under the auspices of Esan United Youth Forum, urged the governor to put more effort into curbing the criminals that are always kidnapping our people on the benin/ Auchi expressway.

Your excellency sir, early this year, Edo State Government launched a vigilante network to strengthen the state’s security architecture to deal with rising insecurity.

The vigilante network, was your initiative  (Governor Godwin Obaseki), A community-led effort to galvanise local communities to partner with government security agencies to provide security and protect lives and property in the state.

 You assured us that 

You want to ensure  Edo is safe for our people and free of cultists and kidnappers. That the  mission is to smoke out criminals and ensures that they are not comfortable in our communities.”

Your excellency sir, the crimes are increasing every day and as we speak now, kidnapping has become a lucrative business in benin/Auchi Expressway especially the Ehor/Esan axis.

We commend you for improving the state's security architecture and responding to security challenges in the state's community vigilante Network, Which had confronted criminals, kidnappers, and rescued victims of abduction across the state.

Your excellency sir, the vigilante needs more support and empowerment in the area of providing more man powers, security gadgets and open up the areas so wide that the bandits or the kidnappers can not have a place to hide and carry out their criminal activities.
