Edo 2024: Esan Person Can Be Governor.

-If only we can win against ourselves!

At every bus stop in our daily permutations as a people, the slogan reads the same:

"It's the turn of Esan person to be Governor of Edo state, and to be supported by the two other senatorial districts."

The above emerged from the popular talk that Esan people have suffered ethnic victimization and marginalization since certain individual became governor of Edo state and till this day, the marginalization continues. That political appointments are supposed to be shared evenly among the three senatorial districts of Edo state as required by the federal character principle.

Ironically among the Esan people, even those not qualified to cast the first stone are now looking for available networks or platform to grant interviews that Esan person must be the next Governor after Governor Obaseki's tenure. What we continue to ask these people without tangible answers are that they had been at the commanding heights of governance at the local, state and federal level, national security administration and management, what were their physical achievements to show the Esan people? Why didn't they work together in the past to avoid the marginalization of the Esan people? In the past elections, what were their roles to prevent the marginalization of the Esan people?

  

There are unnecessary divisions among the various groups today clamouring for the actualization of the quest for Esan person becoming Governor of Edo state comes 2024. These divisions are tactically caused by the internal and external forces in order to frustrate the agitation because a Kingdom divided against itself can never stand. 

Now that we know the gimmicks of the actors in these divisions among the Esan people, particularly the unnecessary conflict of interests between the Agbazilo and Okpebholo blocs, the influences of the external forces to cause chaos among the Esan political leaders, the greed in the hearts of some political leaders, etc, the earlier we arrive at that strategic modus operandi the better for us. 

Before you publicise your strategies, remember that others eyeing the same seat are watching with keen interest ( Food for thought).
