Edo at 30: Amb. Collins Aigbogun aka Abuja congratulates H.E Godwin Obaseki and the entire Edo people.

 _...Charges all Edo people to continue with love, harmony and peaceful coexistence._ 

In a statement signed by Amb. Collins Aigbogun which he released through his Media Team, the illustrious son of Esan land a very proud citizen of Edo State salutes the Executive governor of Edo State, Gov. Godwin Obaseki and all the good people of Edo state as the state clock 30 today.

In the  words of Amb. Collins Aigbogun popularly known as Abuja, "on a day like this three decades ago, Edo State the " *Heartbeat of the Nation* " was created. It is my joy that till date despite all we have been through, even through thick and thin, we still remain resilience as a people in making sure we live in a state where everyone is happy together".

So many things have transpired politically and otherwise from the creation of our dear state but in all of these, as a people we have never had any course to be separated rather, we grow more stranger and United  daily. I will not hesitate to celebrate and appreciate all our past leaders most especially our governors since the creation of Edo state such as: Chief John Odigie Oyegun, Chief Lucky Igbenedion,  Professor Oserheimen Osunbor, Comrade Adams Oshiomole and then our present Governor, Godwin Obaseki; from the inception of Edo state, the ideas, policies programmes, commitments, sacrifices and contributions of these leaders  have in no little measure helped to uplift Edo State to where it is today. I won't also fail to appreciate our religious leaders and traditional rulers as their roles in making sure there exist in the state harmony and peaceful coexistence cannot be overemphasized.

May we always continue to live together as a people as we witness and celebrate many more victorious years ahead
