B ENIN CITY - The Edo State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Barr. Andrew Adaze Emwanta has declared that the state will soon achieve the cardinal point of the present Godwin Obaseki's vision of making Edo great again, saying with the modern strategies anchored on determination and commitment, Edo State will become the home of investment destination by 2030.

     The commissioner stated this when members of the extended family of the Commissioner, comprises of the Emwanta, Ivbaro, Omorogbe and Odigie paid him a solidarity visit in his office in Benin city, yesterday.

      He noted that the state governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki was a blessing to the state, being a technocrat who knows the onus and will always go for the best towards making Edo great again in the overall interest of the good people of Edo state.

     While acknowledging the fact that it was a great honour serving under such focused and visionary leader like governor Obaseki, Commissioner Emwanta charged the visitors to continue to support the the administration by way remiting  their taxes.

     He said the governor was changing the narrative from what used to be in the state with modern innovation that would guarantee the future of the people of the state.

     Describing the occasion as a mixed feelings, as it coincided with the seventh anniversary of his late father, the Commissioner commended the family for standing by him all the while and for sustaining the unity of the family since the demise of his father whom he described as a good planner and master strategist. 

      "Don't say your brother is now a commissioner. No. Don't break the la. Stick to it. I will not disappoint you", the Commissioner assured.

      Earlier, Raymond Emwanta who led the team, said they were on visit to rejoice with the Commissioner on his new appointment as the Edo state commissioner for Information and Communication and to pledge allegiance families' unalloyed support for the vision of the governor, Obaseki towards taking the state to an enviable height. 

   "The families have resolved to pay you a solidarity visit. To assure you of our support and urge you to use the wisdom endowed on you to promote and disseminate  the necessary information that will help move the state and government forward",  

    In his vote of thanks, the. Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Comrade Josede Sede harped on the need for massive support from the people if the present administration must meet with the people's demands. 

    The P.S who highlighted some of the modern infrastructural projects of the Obaseki's led administration, which he said can be compared to what is obtained in developed countries of the world, the present administration was committed towards making the state a developmental eyemark.

     Highpoint of the visit was the observation of a minute silence in honour of the Commissioner's late father and the presentation of a congratulatory card to the Commissioner.
