 *HIS EXCELLENCY GOVERNOR GODWIN OBASEKI , THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF EDO STATE,* 
 
 *SENATOR, ENGR CLIFFORD A ORDIA REPRESENTING EDO CENTRAL SENATORIAL DISTRICT* 

 *RT. HON JOE* *EDIONWELE REPRESENTING THE GOOD PEOPLE OF OKPEBHO* *CONSTITUENCY* .

 *DECLARE A STATE OF EMERGENCY ON UKPENU/EMUHI ROAD NOW!* 

With a heart full of pains that I write to you today. I want to start by commending you for your effort so far towards fixing some bad roads in Edo State.
I write on behalf of my good people of Ukpenu/Emuhi- Ekpoma Esan west, 
Edo state.  

Your Excellency Sir, without mincing words, I would like to go straight to the point which is the situation and impassability of Ukpenu/Emuhi Road in Esan West Local Government Area Ward 7.
The deplorable state of the road has become something heartening and has brought to a halt the socio-economic activities in the communities.
With due respect Sir, this road has become a nightmare to the entire Esan citizens and every road user. It is not motorable nor treckable and we are crying out loud to you for assistance. As a matter of urgency, the people in these affected communities are making this Save Our Souls (SOS) appeal.
I  wrote an open letter to you sir on  17th September 2021 and I send the letter to your WhatsApp phone number which you read and responded immediately by sending some persons to go inspect the state of the road. My people were so happy and started praying for you at last the nightmare has come to an end. Your Excellency nothing has been done up till now...three days ago a bike man with two young ladies fell inside the 15 to 20 feet deep erosion drainage thanks to the good citizens that were around to help them with a ladder to climb out of the drainage.
The condition of this road has brought about assorted negative changes like... Hunger as a result of no road to the market to sell our harvested farm products. Emuhi community is the hub of fruits in Edo State especially pineapple and Orange. We have been abandoned totally for a  long time.  Ukpenu/Emuhi communities are two of the most populated communities in Esan West (Ward 7) with a high number of voters and political contributors. Why are we so abandoned?
The road t these communities is in a miserable state and 
residents of these communities have their livelihoods threatened due to this road that has made their economic activities nosedive to almost a halt. The communities have gained nothing under the PDPthe APC administration but they keep voting massively in any election believing that the government will remember them but the reverse is the case. 

We are begging the governor, the Senator, House of Representatives Member and the Speaker Edo State  House of Assembly to come to our rescue.
