*WE CANNOT DEVIATE FROM OUR WINNING FORMULA... Esan West leaders*

The visit of Arc. Dr Mike Onolememen CON, to Esan West local government today, in continuation of his consultations with PDP leaders and Executives, was an opportunity for the leaders to express their positions openly concerning the issue of rotation in the Senatorial District.

The party Chairman in the local government, Hon. Andy Ikhajiangbe, noted that the PDP has always won the Senatorial elections in the district. He said that 2024; will not be an exception as the local government will not change the winning formula that has been on ground. He advised Arc Mike Onolememen to continue his consultations in the ways he has been executing his campaigns. The Chairman thanked Arc. Onolememen for making it possible for the party to meet in the local government after a very long time.

Former State Assistant Legal Adviser, Barr. Victor Idiakhua, said that at the appropriate time, the Senatorial leadership will give the delegates directives just as it did about 8 years ago.

The State Treasurer of the party, Hon. Benjamin Ehilebhuadiaye (Ceaser), told the audience that it is the turn of Esan North East to produce the Senator and Arc. Dr. Mike Onolememen towers above all the aspirants.

The number one leader of the Local Government, Dr Francis Ulinfun described Arc. Dr. Mike Onolememen as a complete party man. He recalled how Arc. Mike Onolememen kept funding the party when he was a Minister and even thereafter. He said that Esan West will stand solidly behind Esan North East for the Senate in the spirit of rotation amongst the five local governments that make up the Senatorial District. He noted that Arc. Mike Onolememen was the first person to inform the local government of his interest to contest the Senatorial seat and so will remain first in the local government. Dr Ulinfun said that as a top leader in the state who has been in the policy making caucus of the party in the Senatorial District, he is aware that there is a gentleman's agreement on rotation and that Esan West will keep to the principle of Ebakota.

Earlier, Arc. Dr Mike Onolememen, had informed the leaders and Executives of his intention to contest for the Senatorial seat. He pledged to ensure that the projects he pushed into the budget while he was a Minister are adequately funded especially the Okenne - Benin road dualization  and the Ewu-Agbor road.
