Bandits abduct schoolgirls in Zamfara By Ade Smith  Oknewsonline February 26, 2021 Armed bandits have invaded a girls’ school in Zamfara, abducting at least three hundred students. The Oknewsonline  reported on Friday morning that the mass abduction occurred overnight, saying parents of some of the students have confirmed the development. The abduction came barely a few weeks after hundreds of schoolboys were abducted in Katsina by bandits, drawing nationwide uproar. Nine days ago, bandits breached a high school in Niger State and seized about 29 students and school administrators.

Bandits abduct Katsina monarch, 13 others By Mboutidem Emma-Ukpanah - February 21, 2021 Amid anxiety over the fate of abducted students of Government College, Kagara, Niger State, bandits struck again in neigbourbing Katsina State, abducting a monarch and 13 others in two separate attacks.   The gunmen were said to have kidnapped the 91-year-old traditional ruler of Kunduru community on Friday night. Newsmen learnt that the victim who is the Galadiman Kunduru is the father of the Secretary to Katsina State Government, Alhaji Kasimu Ibrahim. Deputy Speaker cries out on the menace of herdsmen attacks in Orhionmwon, call on relavant authority to take the needed actions.  Deputy Speaker Roland Asoro drew the attention of the House to the menace of herdsmen in parts of Orhionmwon . He said six  persons including a head of vigilante outfit in Ugo, Orhionmwon local government were killed by suspected herdsmen  last week . He called on the state police commissioner and other relevant security agencies to address the issue. Similarly, member representing Esan South East.  Hon.
